Thomas Hoyle

Chief Engineer

Tom is a proactive and enthusiastic Chief Engineer with a strong work ethic and a committed approach to his role. He thrives in challenging environments and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards in the engine room and across all vessel operations. Known for being both thorough and efficient, he has a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on performance and reliability.

With experience across both offshore commercial shipping and the superyacht industry, Tom brings a broad and well-rounded understanding of marine engineering systems and machinery. He works equally well independently and as part of a team, and is recognised for his clear communication skills and professional, approachable manner onboard.

Tom began his maritime career at 18 and was promoted to Chief Engineer at 27, becoming the youngest in his intake to achieve an Unlimited Chief Engineer’s License—an achievement he is particularly proud of. He holds a Professional Diploma in Marine Management and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, both achieved with strong academic performance.

In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his partner Karina and their baby girl Yasmin. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys making the most of his time ashore on the course.
